World Peace Garden Project

This project will begin a collaboration for peace and healing to strengthen a World View that celebrates our differences and to build International understanding. The focal point for the collaboration will be a World Peace Garden, built virtually at www.WorldPeaceGarden.org. People around the world will be invited to share what is beautiful to them in nature and how it inspires them as a way to start the conversation.

While at the beginning the World Peace Garden will operate online, we envision a series of physical, local gardens in communities around the world, linked virtually. Online and offline, the garden is more than a “garden.” The garden is the focal point for a Spiritual Restoration Center.

Online the garden/center will have a virtual garden, a living museum, a virtual theater, and a wiki.

Offline the garden/center will have a theater, conference facilities, interactive living museums, and a retreat facility. While each restoration center will begin with a focus on spiritual restoration, peace, and healing, offline the center will eventually encompass ecological, economic, and social restoration as well, tailored to each local community.
