Non-Response from FERC, Sound Familiar?

I am sending this to all of you so that you can see that we did respond and that there are no messages later from the Licensee that we did not take part. We are trying to meet the demands of these time lines; we are fighting to stay up with the game without staff, funding (although offered) or without the ability to actually engage in consultation.

Section 106 This is VERY timely for us-- below you will find a link to handbook produced by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation for Section 106 consultation responsibilities with American Indian Tribes. I hope you can read and share this important information to improve the process of consultation between Federal agencies and Tribes. If any of you need to have a copy printed out, please let me know your address and I'll do so and put one in the mail.

From the Advisory Council: The ACHP Announces Landmark Publication
Just released from the ACHP's Native American Program: "Consultation with Indian Tribes in the Section 106 Process: A Handbook" is a groundbreaking publication containing step-by-step guidance for the Section 106 practitioner. The handbook will help federal agencies understand tribal concerns and offer guidance on effective and efficient participation in tribal consultation.
